How to service the ignition coil on 2000 Buick LeSabre?

The first step to service an Ignition Coil requires turning off the Ignition Switch. Keep note of the order and remove Spark Plug Wires from their coil assembly locations. You need to remove the screws which hold the coil assemblies onto the ignition control module (ICM) before you can extract the coils from the icm . When installing coils simply place them onto the icm then check that electrical terminals stay straight. Secure the Ignition Coil attaching screws with 5 nm (40 lb in) of tightening torque. Set the Spark Plug Wires correctly back to their coil assemblies before finalizing the installation.
