The first step when working on the Vehicle Speed Sensor is to disconnect the negative battery terminal. First lift the vehicle and then unscrew the electrical connector at the Vehicle Speed Sensor. Unthread the bolt holding the sensor then remove the bolt and the sensor. Install both the Vehicle Speed Sensor and the bolt by placing these pieces properly before tightening the bolt to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Plug the electrical connector into the Vehicle Speed Sensor position before putting away the safety stands and lowering the car. At last connect the negative Battery Cable while checking that the bolt remains tight at 15 nm (11 foot pounds).
