Begin tail lamp replacement by taking off the rear compartment sill plate first. Bulb replacement can be done if you pass to step four. Locate the tail lamp connector then push the grommet out of the rear end panel. First remove the body-retaining nuts from the tail lamp before extracting that component. Replace the faulty bulbs if needed. When changing a tail lamp only for bulb maintenance go straight to guide the connector and grommet through the vehicle body. Check that the grommet extends completely into the body rear end panel before reattaching the tail lamp to the body frame. Fit the tail lamp retention nuts to the body while tightening them to 6 n.m (53 lb in). Complete the task by connecting the tail lamp connector followed by reinstallation of the rear compartment sill plate.
