Push the seat to the full forward position and peel the center pillar trim panel. Remove the cpa from the sis harness connector and disconnect the harness connector from the sis. Remove the sis mounting fasteners and get rid of the sis from center pillar sheetmetal. When installing the new sis, one should handle it carefully to prevent getting struck of jolted. Spot clean the mounting surface; install the sis or sism, and tighten all the fasteners to the torque value as specified. Mount the sis to the center pillar sheetmetal, then mount sis mounting fasteners and tighten them to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Re-contact the harness connector to the sis and install the connector position assurance (CPA) to the harness connector. Finally, reinstall the center pillar trim and put the seat back to the factory position and allow the sir system.
