How to service the Ignition Control Module on 2000 Buick Park Avenue?

Begin Ignition Control Module servicing by unplugging the 14-way connector from the module and removing Spark Plug Wires from each coil assembly. Begin by removing the screws that hold the coil assemblies to the Ignition Control Module before removing the coils from the module and completely removing the Ignition Control Module. Follow the installation guidelines for ignition coil(s) replacement to secure the coils to the Ignition Control Module. Screw the ignition coils into place using attaching screws while tightening them to 4-5 n.m (40 lb in). Utilize nuts along with washers to connect the Ignition Control Module assembly to its mounting bracket before applying torque at 8 n.m (70 lb in). Finish up by connecting the Spark Plug Wires along with the 14-way connector back to the module.
