How to replace the Ignition Control Module on Buick Park Avenue?

To substitute the Ignition Control Module, let first the ignition off and remove the 14-way connector from the Ignition Control Module (ICM). Then, i'd remove the Spark Plug Wires from the coil assemblies recording their positions upon removal. Take out the screws that hold the coil assemblies to the icm and pull out the coils and icm from the bracket. For installation, mount the coils and the icm on the bracket and comply with the fastener notice that is contained in service precautions. Mount the screws that hold the ignition coils; together with the icm to the bracket, tighten to 4.5 n.m (40 lb in). Connect the spark plug cords and then attach the 14 way connector on the module, screw it very firmly to 2.1 (19 lb in).
