How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Buick Park Avenue?

Start the Throttle Position Sensor service operation by uninstalling the fuel injector sight shield then disconnecting the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector from the tp sensor. Use a tp sensor screwdriver to remove both tp sensor installation screws holding the tp sensor to the Throttle Body part. Then remove the tp sensor from its position. Before putting the tp sensor into the Throttle Body assembly make sure the throttle valve remains in its normal closed position. Insert loctite 262(r) gm p/n 1052624 or an equivalent thread-locking compound on the screws and install then screw in the two tp sensor attaching screws with a torque setting of 2 n.m (18 lb in). Attach the tp sensor electrical connector while reinstalling the fuel injector sight shield.
