How to replace the Throttle Position Sensor on 2005 Buick Park Avenue?

The first step to replace the throttle position (TP) sensor includes removal of the fuel injector sight shield along with disconnecting the electrical connector of the tp sensor. The next step involves removing both tp sensor attaching screws to take out the tp sensor from the Throttle Body. After checking the throttle valve is in its normal closed position you can put the tp sensor inside the Throttle Body assembly. The installation requires application of thread-locking compound loctite 262(R) (GM P/N 1052624) equivalent on screws. Tighten the two attaching screws to 2 n.m (18 lb in). After reconnecting the tp sensor electrical connector you should reinstall the fuel injector sight shield.
