How to replace Knock Sensor (KS) 1 on 2005 Buick Park Avenue?

Begin Knock Sensor (KS) 1 replacement by first turning the ignition OFF and draining engine cooling liquid as the hot fluid can result in severe burns. Lift the vehicle then disconnect the wiring harness connector between the knock sensor and sensor. Detach the knock sensor from its placement on the engine block. The new knock sensor requires no thread sealant on its threads because it comes ready with factory coating that will suffer if extra sealant is added. Screw the knock sensor into position within the engine block while tightening it to 19 N.m (14 lb ft). Attach the knock sensor electrical connector to the knock sensor before lowering the vehicle and adding cooling system fluid.
