To service and repair the Spark Plug Wires, let the engine be cool and clean all the dirt from the Spark Plug recess area. Twist the Spark Plug boots 1/2 turn before removing them by grabbing the boot only so as not to bend the Spark Plug wire. First, ensure that ignition is off, then remove the fuel injector sight shield. Then, pull the Spark Plug Wires off of the ignition coils and intake manifold channels; then, off of the spark plugs and vehicle. To install, position the Spark Plug Wires at the top of the engine and plug into the channels of the intake manifold cover. It is time to connect the wires to the spark plugs, making sure that the boots are properly seated and then tighten them to the ignition coils and replace the fuel injector sight shield.
