    A: The process to change the front side door latch requires removal of the door trim panel followed by door control module and water deflector then speaker assembly and window extraction. The front side door repair starts with disconnecting the lock rod and outside handle rod then three fasteners from the Door Latch Assembly follow by loosening all remaining fasteners before module assembly removal. Releasing retainers (1, 2) enables removing the door latch from its position on the retainer by disconnecting the inside Door Handle and lock rods. Insert the door latch on the retainer then fasten the inside Door Handle and lock rods to the latch by using clips (1, 2). Continue with installation by inserting the outside Door Handle rod onto the retainer for better handling and connect electrical connectors to the door latch. Start the fasteners in the module before placing the module inside the door. Put the door fasteners in position with each keyhole slot before fully tightening all remaining fasteners to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Two fasteners need to be installed on the latch assembly before tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Then attach the handle with lock rods to the outside Door Handle. The final stage of repair requires installation of the window followed by reattachment of the speaker assembly and trim panel bracket and water deflector and door control module before inserting the door trim panel.
