To secure the check installation you must first insert it into the door before loading the check studs through the access holes of the door inner panel while tightening the check to door fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Screw the check arm at the door hinge pillar fasteners while making sure to secure them at 9 N.m (80 lb in). Diagonally reinsert the close-out grommet and the water deflector in their proper positions. The first step includes door control module replacement only when necessary followed by attachment of the door trim panel.
