2000 Buick Park Avenue Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Washer Reservoir and pump on 2000 Buick Park Avenue?
A: Before replacing the washer components disconnect the electrical connectors both from the pump and sensor switch. Unbolt the washer hose from the pump and take out the washer solvent container secured by two nuts. The slot and tab on the vehicle body hold the container. Remove the Washer Pump assembly together with its grommet from inside the washer solvent container and take out the solvent level sensor when available. When installing the solvent level sensor make sure its tab slides into the spot on the hole before placing it into the washer container. Insert the grommet and Washer Pump into the solvent container before fastening them with two nuts until they reach 8 n.m (70 lb in). Reestablish wiring to the solvent level switch and Washer Pump. Add the washer hose to the pump then fill the solvent reservoir with washer solvent.
