2000 Buick Park Avenue Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the washer pump and reservoir on 2000 Buick Park Avenue?
A: Disengage the electrical connections from both the washer pump and solvent level sensor switch units before continuing with the replacement process. You must first remove the washer hose from the washer pump then unscrew the two nuts securing the washer solvent container that fits into a slated part of the vehicle body. UMove the washer pump with its grommet from the washer solvent tank while removing the level sensor when that system is present. Install the solvent level sensor by setting its tab in the hole slot first then return it to the washer solvent tank (when present). Fasten the washer pump grommet into the container and tighten the two nuts to 8 N.m (70 lb in). Reinsert the electrical contacts to the washer solvent sensor switch and pump before connecting the hose and fitting solvent into the tank.
