2001 Buick Park Avenue Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the windshield washer pump and reservoir on 2001 Buick Park Avenue?
A: Start by disconnecting power from both the washer pump and washer solvent level sensor before taking off the washer hose connected to the washer pump. Twist off the two nuts fixing the washer solvent container with its tab in the car's body slot before pulling out the washer pump with attached grommet from the container. Take out the washer solvent level sensor from its storage container. To put the washer solvent level sensor in place insert its tab into the corresponding slot of the washer solvent container. Put the washer pump and grommet into position and fasten them with two nuts which require 8 N.m (70 lb in). If the electrical connectors match, plug them back into the washer solvent level sensor and the washer pump. Then attach the washer hose to the washer pump and pour washer solvent into the container.
