How to replace the evaporator core on 2000 Cadillac Catera?

Before you remove the Evaporator core, recover the refrigerant. Then, take the txv off of the Evaporator; followed by the Steering Column and the Brake Pedal with the bracket. When opening out the Evaporator, plug the fittings so that the refrigerant oil does not drop on the interior trim whilst gently drawing out the Evaporator. For installation, please be sure to install the Evaporator carefully into the module so as not to damage the cooling fans and then reinstall the Brake Pedal with the bracket and Steering Column and txv. Finally, evacuate and recharge the a/c system and perform leak test on the fitting(s) of the repaired or re-installed component using j 39400-a.
