Begin the servicing process by taking out the rear exhaust section along with the exhaust heat shields followed by detaching the propeller shaft. Note down the length measurement of the parking brake lever shaft section which extends from the brake shoe adjusting nut. Apply cleaning and lubrication to the threads of the brake shoe adjusting nut followed by its removal from the parking brake lever shaft. After separating the Parking Brake Cable guide from the lever shaft it becomes possible to extract the parking brake cables from the guide. The parking brake lever requires detachment of its spring from both the back plate and lever before removing the parking brake cables that run through its lever and guides. To install the system position the Parking Brake Cable first to its respective guides then to its corresponding lever.
