• Q: How to remove and install the cruise control module on 2000 Cadillac DeVille?

  A: In order to remove the cruise control module, first unhook the cruise control cable and pull the cruise control module assembly's electrical connector. Then, use the crate to take out the nuts and bolt which holds the cruise control module to the bracket assembly and then get the cruise control module along with the bracket assembly. Thereafter, take off the fasteners that attach the cruise control module bracket to the cruise control module and then pull out the cruise control module from the mounting bracket . For installation, mount the cruise control module on the cruise control bracket mounting bracket and install the module to the bracket fasteners, tighten them to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in). Next, connect the cruise control module assembly to the body and tighten the another 2 nuts and the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Lastly, reconnect the electrical connector to the cruise control module , install the cruise control cable and, if required, adjust the cruise control cable.
