Control Module

To service the cruise control module begin disconnect the cruise control cable from their locations and the electrical connector from the cruise control module assembly. Next, take out the cross car brace and the nut that hold the cruise control mounting bracket to the left strut tower, as well as the cruise control module assembly . Remove the fasteners holding the cruise control module to the mounting bracket and remove the cruise control module from the mounting bracket. For installation, mount the cruise control module on the mounting bracket and fasten it with the fasteners in 7.5 N.m (66 lb in). Then reinstall the cruise control module assembly onto the upper left strut tower and tighten with the nut to the stud. Put back the cross car brace and hooking the electrical connector onto the cruise control module assembly. Lastly, attach the cruise control cable to its positions with no need to make a mechanical adjustment after replacing, since the cruise control module will adjust the cable by itself.

Firstly, disconnect the cruise control cable from the throttle body cam along with throttle body bracket and cruise control module. Next, you should disconnect the electrical connector from cruise control module assembly and remove the cross car brace. Next, unscrew the nut fastening the cruise control mounting bracket to the left strut tower and pull the cruise control module assembly. Remove the fasteners to retain the cruise control module to the mounting bracket and remove the cruise control module from the mounting bracket. For installation, mount the cruise control module on a mounting bracket and fasten it with the fasteners , applying 7.5 N.m (66 lb in) of torque. Next, mount the cruise control module assembly on the upper left strut tower and fasten it with the nut on the stud. Reinstall the cross car brace and plug in the electrical connector to the cruise control module assembly. Finally replace the cruise control cable to the throttle body cam, throttle body bracket and cruise control module.

In order to remove the cruise control module, remove the cruise control cable from it, followed by detaching the module by removing the electrical connector from the cruise controller module assembly. Then take out the nuts and the bolt attaching the cruise control module assembly and pull out the assembly. Next, externalize the fasteners that connect the bracket to the cruise control module and extract the module from the mounting bracket . Montage for installation, the cruise control module onto the mounting bracket and the fasteners towards the bracket to the module and tighten them to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in. Next, connect the cruise control module assembly to the body and fix it using 2 nuts and the bolt and tighten them to 9 N.m (80lb in). Lastly, plug in the electrical connector to the cruise control module and plug in the cruise control cable with no physical adjustment required once replaced as the module internalizes the adjustment of the cable.

In order to remove the cruise module assembly, one needs to disconnect cruise control cable and then disengage the method of power connecting to the assembly. Then remove the fasteners that fix the module to the mounting studs here remove the module from the vehicle. Then, with the exception of the fasteners that hold the cruise control module bracket to the module, take off the bracket. For installation, connect the cruise control module to the bracket and fasten by tightening fasteners to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in). Next, place the cruise control module on to the studs on the cowl and put on the fasteners that you needed to tighten at 9N.m(80 lb in). Secure the electrical connector to the cruise control module and place the cruise control cable back to its proper place and adjust any cable that are required to be adjusted.

Begin by disassembling fasteners that secure the module's position to mounting studs then remove the module from your vehicle. Begin by dislodging the fasteners which secure the bracket to the cruise control module before removing the bracket. Secure the cruise control module to the bracket while using the fasteners to fasten it at 7.5 N.m (66 lb in). After placing the cruise control module onto cowl studs apply fasteners and tension them to 9 N.m (80 lb in) torque. Reconnect your cruise control module electrical connector before you install the cruise control cable which the module will automatically adjust without requiring any mechanical modifications.

In order to change the cruise control module, remove the cruise control cable, disconnect the electrical connector from cruise control module assembly , as well. Next, extract the nuts and bolt off of cruise control module head and remove the assembly. Then, take out the fasteners holding the bracket to the cruise control module and pull out the module from the mounting bracket. Reconnect the cruise control module assembly to the body - 2 nuts and the bolt , tighten to 9 N.m 80 lb in. Join the electrical connector to the cruise control module. It is worth mentioning that the replacement of cruise control cable does not require a mechanical adjustment, as the-module can make the cable adjustment internally. Finally, retune the cruise control cable.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the cruise control module assembly.

Remove the nuts and the bolt from the cruise control module assembly and take out the assembly.

Place the cruise control module onto the cruise control mounting bracket and install the module to bracket fasteners, tightening them to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in).

Position the cruise control module assembly on the upper strut plate stud, reinstall the cross car brace, and connect the electrical connector to the cruise control module assembly.

Remove the fasteners retaining the bracket to the cruise control module and detach the module from the mounting bracket.

Next, remove the nuts and the bolt securing the cruise control module to the bracket assembly, then take out the cruise control module along with the bracket assembly.

Finally, reconnect the electrical connector to the cruise control module and reinstall the cruise control cable.

For installation, attach the cruise control module to the bracket and secure it with the fasteners, tightening them to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in).
