Start by taking out the Hood Latch from its position on the Hood Latch support by removing the fasteners that bind these two components. Then completely separate the Hood Latch from the support. Cut the hood release cable free of the Hood Latch component. Install the hood release cable to the Hood Latch before placing the Hood Latch back onto the Hood Latch support having fit it properly. Use the fasteners to install the Hood Latch on the support before tightening them to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Test the hood alignment while slowly lowering it and make necessary adjustments to achieve proper alignment on the Hood Latch. Reposition the upper filler panel before finishing by closing the hood.
