The wiper transmission separator (J 39232) is used to remove the transmission drive wiper socket from the wiper motor crank arm, making sure that the transmission rotates as needed to remove it from the plenum. Then, pull out six screws for removal of the transmission from the vehicle. For installation, refer to the wiper transmission installer (J 39529) to bolt the transmission back into the vehicle using six screws, which should be tightened to 8 n.m (70 lb in). Connect the transmission drive link socket to the wiper motor crank arm bail using the j 39529 within an intending that the socket is inserted as far as possible on the ball. Lastly, put back the air inlet screen and the Wiper Arm and blade assemblies.
