How to replace the auxiliary evaporator A/C hose on 2000 Chevrolet Astro?

The first step when replacing the auxiliary evaporator tube requires chilling out all refrigerant from the system. Support and raise the vehicle before extracting both the auxiliary evaporator side inlet tube from the rear tube of the evaporator while also separating the O-ring seal. Take off the O-ring seal from the front tube of the auxiliary evaporator before separating the side inlet tube from its front position. The auxiliary side inlet tube should be removed from the vehicle after removing its body retaining bolts. Secure the clips around the auxiliary evaporator side inlet tube by tightening bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in). Install an O-ring seal treated with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil followed by attaching the auxiliary evaporator side inlet tube to its front inlet tube and torquing it to 27.5 N.m (20 lb ft). Apply the O-ring with oil before connecting the auxiliary evaporator rear tube and torque the connection to 27.5 N.m (20 lb ft). The vehicle should undergo a lowering process to begin system evacuation followed by recharging while checking for leakage.
