The replacement process for lower Intake Manifold starts by taking off the upper Intake Manifold. Start by removing the Coolant Temperature Sensor together with any o-ring seals (3, 4). Begin by unbolting the lower Intake Manifold bolts before removing the lower Intake Manifold then finish by disassembling the lower Intake Manifold seals and gaskets. Start installation by positioning lower Intake Manifold gaskets and seals together and apply silicone sealer gm p/n 12345366 or equivalent to the ends of manifold seals . Position the lower Intake Manifold before applying thread lock compound gm p/n 12345493 or equivalent to bolt threads. Fasten the lower manifold bolts to a torque of 15 nm using 11 foot-pounds. After securing both parts with torque settings of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.), reinstall the upper Intake Manifold.
