First free the side panels of the rear storage area before going through the latch cable and rear door lock cylinder parts. After you unlock the compartment lid lock retainer you can remove both parts the compartment lid lock cylinder. Start by placing the compartment lid lock cylinder into its proper location and fastening it using the compartment lid lock cylinder retainer. Push the cable door at the top of the lock release box to hold the compartment lid remote release cable in position. Reconnect the compartment lid latch cable and compartment lid applique as the final pieces.
