    Q:
How to replace the rear Trunk Lock Cylinder on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
To start changing the rear compartment lid lock cylinder you need to take off the compartment lid applique first. Locate and gently pull down the black housing on the nose of the compartment lid latch. The Cavalier model needs its compartment lid lock cylinder retainer removed but for Sunfire you have to drill out the rivets. You can now take off the compartment lid lock cylinder. Start the installation process by setting in the compartment lid lock cylinder first. When installing the Cavalier part, put in the compartment lid lock cylinder retainer and for Sunfire use the spacer and screw in the lockpieces. Complete the job by putting back the compartment lid lock cable assembly and compartment lid applique parts.
