How to service and repair the starter motor on 2000 Chevrolet Corvette?

In order to service and repair the starter motor, disconnect the negative battery cable, and remove the intermediate exhaust pipe assembly. Disconnect the engine wiring harness leads and positive battery cable terminal of the starter motor. Support the starter motor, loosen the mounting bolts and replace them back with the correct orientation of the wires. Reconnect the battery and program the transmitters.
