How to service the brake light switch on 2000 Chevrolet Impala?

In order to service the brake light switch, the insulator of the driver side instrument panel should be removed. Unscrew out the electrical connectors and take out the stoplamp switch of the brake pedal bracket. Install the switch once again, the connectors, and reposition the instrument panel insulator, as necessary.
