2000 Chevrolet Impala Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service the Fuel Pressure Sensor on 2000 Chevrolet Impala?
A: Service of the fuel tank pressure sensor begins with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Begin the service process by taking off the spare tire cover as well as jack and spare tire before proceeding to remove the trunk liner. The service starts with the removal of the seven nuts securing the fuel sender access panel which lets you remove the panel. Cut the power connection from the fuel tank vapor pressure sensor before removing the sensor component from the modular fuel sender assembly. The new fuel tank vapor pressure sensor must be installed onto the modular fuel sender followed by connecting the electrical connector. Replace the fuel sender access panel by using 7 nuts which should be tightened to 10 n.m (88 lb in). Reinstall the trunk liner together with spare tire and jack and spare tire cover while reattaching the negative Battery Cable.
