Chevrolet Impala Fuel Pressure Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the Fuel Pressure Sensor (NU6) on Chevrolet Impala?
A: The replacement of Fuel Tank pressure sensor (NU6) requires completing the Fuel Tank replacement (NC7) procedure which eliminates the Fuel Tank. The technician should disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector which controls the Fuel Pressure Sensor. The operation of replacing the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister does not require its removal. A flat bladed tool should be used to gently extract the Fuel Pressure Sensor from its position in the evap canister. Before installing the Fuel Pressure Sensor into the evap canister apply a tiny drop of clean engine oil to its fuel pressure seal. To complete the installation connect the electrical Fuel Tank wiring harness onto the Fuel Pressure Sensor before putting back the Fuel Tank following the Fuel Tank replacement (NC7) procedure.
