2008 Chevrolet Impala Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the Fuel Pressure Sensor (NU6) on 2008 Chevrolet Impala?
A: A technician must remove the Fuel Tank before beginning replacement of the Fuel Tank pressure sensor (NU6). The first step requires disconnecting the Fuel Tank wiring harness electrical connector from the Fuel Pressure Sensor. The removal of the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister is not necessary during this process. A flat bladed tool allows you to remove the Fuel Pressure Sensor when inserted into the evap canister. Low amounts of new clean engine oil should be used to lubricate the fuel pressure seal before installing the Fuel Pressure Sensor into the evap canister. Proceed by refitting the Fuel Pressure Sensor to the Fuel Pressure Sensor electrical connector before reinstalling the Fuel Tank.
