The first step to change the front side door outside handle requires removing the front door trim panel. You must first pull the water deflector back from the door opening to reach the handle rod and handle lock rod. Begin by removing both the outside handle rod and outside handle lock rod from the joints of the outside door handle. After disconnecting these components, take off the outside door handle by removing its 2 nuts. In the installation process attach the outside door handle to the door then secure it with 2 nuts that should be tightened to 7 Nm (62 lb in). Repaint the outside handle rod and outside handle lock rod on their respective joints of the outside door handle and then secure the water deflector by adding adhesive to its back and putting it back in place.
