How to replace the rear side outer door handle on Chevrolet Metro?

You must remove the rear door trim panel before starting the replacement of the rear side door outside handle. The water deflector needs to be drawn away from the door so you can access the handle rod and handle lock rod. The outside handle rod and outside handle lock rod should be detached from their respective joints on the outside door handle before removing its 2 nuts to separate the outside door handle from the door. Place the outside door handle on the door before using the 2 nuts to lock it into position while tightening them to 7 Nm (62 lb in). Screw the outside handle rod to its corresponding joint at the outside door handle and do the same for the outside handle lock rod before applying adhesive on the back of the water deflector so you can return it to its regular position. Reinstall the rear door trim panel as the last step.
