How to service the harmonic balancer (crankshaft pulley) on 2000 Chevrolet Metro?

To service the harmonic balancer, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the air cleaner assembly. Raise the vehicle, remove the splash shield and lower generator cover plate. Loosen the adjusting bolt to remove the drive belt. Remove the crankshaft pulley bolts and pulley. Install the new pulley and belts, then reassemble the vehicle.
