How to service and repair the thermostat on 2000 Chevrolet Metro?

The thermostat can be serviced and repaired by first draining out the engine cooling system below the thermostat. Loosen off the upper radiator outflow hose at the top of the thermostat housing cap then loosen the water outlet and loosen the thermostat and gasket. Check the air bleed control and check thermostat. Install the parts again and replace the cooling system.
