How to replace the IP dimmer switch on 2000 Chevrolet Tracker?

The first step for IP dimmer switch replacement begins with removing 3 screws and IP steering column opening trim plate from the instrument panel. The installation begins by freeing the upper and lower retaining tabs which secure the IP lamp dimmer control. After this step users can slide the dimmer control out to disconnect the electrical connector before removing the dimmer control from the vehicle. The installer should first connect the electrical connector to the IP lamp dimmer control before sliding the dimmer control back into the instrument panel where it securely engages the retaining tabs. Secure the IP steering column opening trim plate into place by doing up three screws.
