How to service and repair the Neutral Safety Switch on 2000 Chevrolet Tracker?

In order to service and repair the transmission position switch/sensor, disconnection of the negative battery cable and the cooler lines are to be removed. Strip the electrical connector and take away parts on the manual shaft. Install the transmission range switch with due alignment and re-connect the battery. Check the function of starter motor in the park and neutral position.
