How to service the Back Up Light Switch on 2000 Chevrolet Tracker?

To service back up lamp switch, disconnect the negative (-) Battery Cable then lift the vehicle for access. Pull off the back up lamp switch electrical connector from the back up lamp switch, and then pull out the back up lamp switch from the upper case. Check the back up lamp switch and the o-ring for any cuts or damage, and replace it if not. To install it, put the back up lamp switch back into upper case and snugged it to 23 nm (17 ft. Lbs.). Connect the back up lamp switch electrical connector back to the switch, lower the vehicle and then reconnect the negative (-) Battery Cable lastly.
