How to replace the Back Up Light Switch on 2001 Chevrolet Tracker?

The first step to switch the back up lamp is to both raise and properly support the vehicle. Detach the electrical connector from the back up lamp switch then remove the back up lamp switch from the manual transmission upper case. Check the back up lamp switch O-ring for damage and cuts before deciding to replace it if needed. After installing the back up lamp switch onto the manual transmission upper case secure it with a torque of 20 N.m (14 lb ft). Lower the vehicle while connecting the electrical connector to the back up lamp switch.
