2000 Chevrolet Tracker Fuel Rail Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the fuel rail on 2000 Chevrolet Tracker?
A: Begin service and repair work on the Fuel Rail by taking out the existing fuel pressure first. You must start by taking off the Throttle Body before cutting the electrical connector loose from the Fuel Injector . The service begins with removing the rear Intake Manifold hold down bracket together with its bolts before pulling the bracket free. First detach high pressure and return hoses from fuel pipes before taking out the fuel pipe hold down bracket bolt and the 3 Fuel Rail retaining bolts to extract the Fuel Rail. Once fuel injectors are extracted the technician should proceed to removal. The first step of installation includes applying motor oil on the fuel injectors o-ring before securing the fuel injectors onto the Fuel Rail. Finally, secure the Fuel Rail to the Intake Manifold by tightening the 3 retaining bolts to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). After installing the fuel pipes' hold down bolt to 25 n.m (19 lb ft), you can put on the Intake Manifold reinforcement bracket then both retaining bolts require 25 n.m (19 lb ft) torque. Sito create the electrical connection to fuel injectors and implement the scan tool alongside turning on ignition power but not starting engine until you activate the fuel pump followed by leak detection then required repairs.
