2000 Chevrolet Venture Air Suspension Compressor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on 2000 Chevrolet Venture?
A: The Air Suspension Compressor replacement procedure begins with lifting up and supporting your vehicle. The clips on the side of the Air Suspension Compressor filter should be squeezed to remove it from the underbody rail. After loosening the compressor bracket bolt and compressor bracket nuts you can suspend the compressor from its respective bracket hook. You should detach the air line from the air dryer while also untethering the electrical connector from the Air Suspension Compressor. You should rotate the Air Suspension Compressor and bracket by 90 degrees to release the bracket hook from the vehicle before removing both the Air Suspension Compressor and its bracket. You must first remove the Air Suspension Compressor dryer and the Air Suspension Compressor relay from the bracket while progressing to the Air Suspension Compressor bolts before taking out the Air Suspension Compressor from the bracket. Reinstallation requires attaching the Air Suspension Compressor filter hose into two specified positions followed by bolt/screw tightening at 4 nm (35 inch lbs.) tension to secure the Air Suspension Compressor onto its bracket before installing the Air Suspension Compressor shield. After installing the Air Suspension Compressor relay both on the bracket and on the Air Suspension Compressor dryer continue with the assembly process. Place the Air Suspension Compressor bracket onto the underbody rail before you rotate it 90 degrees to generate a hanging position for the compressor on the hook before plugging in the electrical connector and air line to the air dryer. Use a torque wrench to apply 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) to the compressor bracket nuts before tightening the bracket bolt to a torque of 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Lower the vehicle and secure the Air Suspension Compressor filter in its proper position to the underbody rail.
