How to Service Canister Purge Valves on 2000 Chevrolet Venture?

As a first step in servicing the Canister Purge Valves turn OFF the ignition and mark the current position of EVAP hoses before reinstating them properly. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector and the hoses before uninstalling the bolt which attaches the valve to its bracket. This action enables EVAP purge valve removal. Position the EVAP canister purge valve on the manifold before installing the bolt which should be fastened to 10 (88 lb in). The last step involves connecting both the hoses and the purge valve electrical connector.
