The first step in discharge hose replacement (LR4, LM7, LQ4 W/Denso) is refrigerant recovery. Start by removing the compressor mounting bolt for the discharge hose then detach the hose from the compressor. The upper radiator baffle must be removed together with the condenser nut before uninstalling the discharge hose from the condenser. First disconnect the automatic recirculation electrical connector from the discharge hose then remove the discharge hose assembly from the vehicle before disposal of all utilized sealing washers while capping system openings. Installation starts with vehicle attachment of the discharge hose assembly followed by automatic recirculation electrical connector connection to the discharge hose. Paste the hose to the condenser through its new washers before tightening the condenser nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft). Secure the discharge hose to the compressor after adding new sealing washers with a discharge hose mounting bolt tightened to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
