    Q:
How to Replace an Auxiliary A/C Hose in an HVAC System on Chevrolet K3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace an auxiliary compressor/condenser hose is refrigerant recovery. First disconnect the hose assembly from the compressor top by removing the bolt and then take off the sealing washers. The dual o-ring separator (J 38042) assists in removing both the accumulator connection hose and the auxiliary a/c line from each other. Trim the o-ring seals off from the hose before detaching it from the clip and disconnecting its assembly from the condenser while taking out the o-ring seal. Seal and cap all accessible lines and connections. The auxiliary A/C Hose installation requires initial 525 viscosity refrigerant oil coating of new o-ring seals before fitting them on the hose. Next, connect the hose assembly to the auxiliary a/c line while tightening to 24 n.m (18 lb ft). Use refrigerant oil to lubricate the new condenser o-ring prior to attaching the hose assembly with proper torque setting of 24 n.m (18 lb ft). Place new o-ring seals into accumulated hoses after coating them with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil. Install both hoses while applying torque of 24 n.m (18 lb ft). Reconnect the hose assembly to the compressor top while using sealing washers before securing and tightening the bolt to 34 n.m (25 lb ft). Complete the system charging operation while also examining for any air pressure loss.

    Q:
How to Replace an A/C Hose in an HVAC System on GMC C3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before you put in a new A/C Hose, recover the refrigerant. Carefully take off the air cleaner assembly, cut the connection between the tube and the hose and then get rid of the seal o-ring. After that, remove the refrigerant hose assembly from the auxiliary compressor hose and take out the o-ring seal. Get rid of the right front wheelhouse, take out the connection between the auxiliary Evaporator hose and the auxiliary Evaporator and cut out the o-ring seal. Take the auxiliary compressor hose off the auxiliary Evaporator, remove the screws and hose clips and finally take out both hoses: the auxiliary Evaporator hose and the compressor hose. You should start the installation by putting on the auxiliary compressor hose and the auxiliary Evaporator hose and then the clips. Tighten the screw heads until you reach a torque of 6 n.m (or 53 lb in). Grease the o-ring of the auxiliary compressor hose with 525 viscosity oil, install it and connect the hose to the auxiliary Evaporator, making sure the tightness is 32 n.m (24 lb ft). Cover the o-ring on the new auxiliary Evaporator hose with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil, fit it onto the hose and secure it to the auxiliary Evaporator so that it is tightened to 17 n.m (13 lb ft). Put the correct right front wheelhouse in place, grease the auxiliary compressor hose's new o-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil, install it and secure the refrigerant hose to the auxiliary compressor hose using 24 n.m or 18 lb ft of torque. Bring down the vehicle, attache an o-ring seal for the auxiliary Evaporator (525 viscosity refrigerant oil) to the new hose, install it and fit the tube from the auxiliary Evaporator to the auxiliary Evaporator hose, making sure to tighten it to 24 n.m (18 lb ft). Afterward, set back the air cleaner assembly, top up the ac and look for any leaks.

    Q:
How to replace the A/C Hose Assembly on GMC C2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process to replace the compressor hose assembly begins by recovering all refrigerant material. The first step to replace the compressor hose assembly requires removal of the securing bolt on the refrigerant hose which precedes disconnecting the hose from both the compressor and accumulator through the nut. The procedure starts with removing the upper radiator baffle then removing the condenser nut before disconnecting the condenser hose. The air conditioning compressor/condenser hose assembly requires removal as you disconnect the automatic recirculation electrical connector from the compressor/condenser hose and discard the old sealing washers and secure system openings with caps. You should start by mounting the a/c compressor/condenser hose assembly before connecting the automatic recirculation electrical connector to the compressor/condenser hose. The condenser hose installation requires new sealing washers before attaching the hose and torquing the condenser nut to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Install the upper radiator baffle before you attach the hose to the accumulator with new sealing washers and secure the nut at the accumulator by tightening it to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). The last step involves inserting the refrigerant hose mounting bolt while torquing it to 34 n.m (25 lb ft) before performing a/c system recharge inspections for leaks.
