2000 Chevrolet Tahoe Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the A/C Hose (suction, LR4, LM7, LQ4 W/Denso) on 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe?
A: A replacement process for the suction hose (LR4, LM7, LQ4 W/Denso) begins with refrigerant recovery. Start by removing the bolt that holds the suction hose mount to the compressor before you can detach the hose from the compressor unit. Moving on, detach the nut at the accumulator followed by uninstalling the hose from the accumulator. Remove the suction hose assembly from the vehicle before discarding all used sealing washers by applying system opening gaps. Install the suction hose assembly by first attaching it to the vehicle before connecting the hose to the accumulator with new sealing washers followed by tightening its accumulator nut to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Connect the suction hose to the compressor while using new sealing washers before securing the suction hose mounting bolt at 16 n.m (12 lb ft). The a/c system needs to be both recharged and the components need thorough leak inspection at the end of the process.
