    Q:
How to Replace an A/C Hose in the Evaporator Tube System on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
First recover the refrigerant before separating the evaporator from its tube by removing its nut. After that disconnect the evaporator tube. First disconnect the evaporator tube from the auxiliary A/C tube by removing its nut when equipped. The vehicle requires removal of both the right park/turn signal lamp together with the grille as the initial step. First disconnect the evaporator tube from the condenser and remove the evaporator tube nut from the condenser then proceed to take off the evaporator tube from the vehicle. All existing sealing washers need to be thrown out while each open connection needs to be properly sealed. New sealing washers should be used to connect the evaporator tube to the condenser before installing the evaporator tube nut to the condenser while tightening it to 16 N.m (12 lb ft). Replace the grille followed by the right park/turn signal lamp into position. Attach the evaporator tube to the auxiliary A/C tube through new sealing washers after installing the evaporator tube nut to the auxiliary A/C tube while tightening it to 16 N.m (12 lb ft). You should install the evaporator tube to the evaporator then place the evaporator tube nut to the evaporator before tightening it to 16 N.m (12 lb ft). Evacuate and recharge the system while conducting a leak test on components' fittings by using the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A).

    Q:
How Should the A/C Hose and Heater Pipes Be Serviced and Repaired Using the J 41425 A/C Line Repair Kit on Chevrolet Suburban 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
When repairing damages on heater and A/C pipes, use the J 41425 A/C Line Repair Kit (J 41425) to repair the rear A/C or heater lines through sectional techniques rather than complete unit replacements. Section lines properly by keeping the correct minimum length present in both sections of straight parts extending from the splice during the line-cutting process. During A/C line work recover the refrigerant while heater line work requires draining the coolant and then support the lifted vehicle. When repairing lines cut away and discard the damaged piece followed by removing the old line down to its original length. Ends of the lines need cleaning through usage of the J 41425 (J 41425) cleaning pad prior to LOK prep sealant application. Your task is to place a single drop of J 41425-3 sealing compound (J 41425-3) onto each line end before inserting them into the LOK fitting and performing fitting rotation for compound distribution. Use the J 41425-1 tool (J 41425-1) equipped with appropriate LOK fitting jaws to tighten the forcing screw until the connector collars reach the LOK fitting's central section through body contact with the 3/8" breaker bar and tool body installation. Verify the installation then lower the vehicle while filling the coolant reservoir and perform a recharge station test if repairing A/C lines. When repairing line sections refer to the same steps but include staggered splicing when repairing multiple lines while keeping the substitution lines identical.

    Q:
How to replace the auxiliary A/C Hose tubes on GMC Yukon XL 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for new auxiliary a/c evaporator tube installation requires complete refrigerant recovery from the system. The maintenance professional must disconnect the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes from their positions both on the condenser tube and accumulator. Obtain access to the clamp by first loosening the wheelhouse and then raise the vehicle. Beginning with the retaining nut and auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes removal from the auxiliary hvac module you must next detach the heater/a/c tubes retaining nut from the stud located at the frame. Exit the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes from their clamps before taking them outside of the vehicle. Installation requires attaching the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes to the vehicle after which you must secure them to the clamps. Install the heater/a/c tubes retaining nut to the stud at the frame while tightening it to 7 n.m (62 lb in). Install the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes (2, 3) together with the retaining nut to the auxiliary hvac module while tightening it to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Proceed to lower the vehicle then put in the right front wheelhouse. The auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes need installation between the condenser tube and the accumulator while tightening nuts to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). After refrigerant recharge and leak testing the fittings with the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
