How to service and repair the throttle cable/linkage on 2000 GMC C2500?

To service and repair the throttle cable/linkage, remove the engine sight shield, detach the accelerator cable from the throttle body lever and unclip it from the mounting bracket. Disconnect the retainer from the accelerator pedal lever, push the cable through the dash panel and reinstall in reverse order with proper operation.
