Service technicians should start with engine shield removal before conducting throttle body lever disconnection from the Throttle Cable. They should then remove the cable from its bracket. Take out the left panel insulator while unclipping the accelerator cable from the engine sight shield mounting bracket. To start work on the accelerator cable retainer first separate it from the accelerator pedal lever before squeezing the accelerator cable cover tangs and pushing the cable through the dash panel for extraction. Installation begins with steering the accelerator cable into the dash panel but the accelerator cable cover tangs must snap into proper position during this step.
