  A: The required tools to service and repair the Fuel Level Sensor consist of fuel pressure gauge (J 34730-1A) and fuel sender lock nut wrench (J 39765). Service on the Fuel Level Sensor begins with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable then draining fuel system pressure. First drain the Fuel Tank while removing the Fuel Tank and continuing with the fuel sender assembly removal. Hang up and detach the fuel pump electrical connector while also releasing the Fuel Level Sensor electrical connector retaining clip. The Fuel Level Sensor electrical connector must be detached from beneath the fuel sender cover while also removing its retaining clip. Sliding the locking tangs will allow you to remove the Fuel Level Sensor. The installation process requires Fuel Level Sensor and retaining clip placement followed by connecting the sensor electrical connector alongside its retaining clip until completion of fuel pump electrical connector installation. Remount the fuel sender assembly and the Fuel Tank while adding new fuel to the tank followed by installation of the fuel filler cap. Finally, complete Battery Cable connection then turn on the ignition for 2 seconds followed by turning it off for 10 seconds and see if fuel leaks appear by turning the ignition on once more.
