Relief of fuel system pressure through the j 34730-1a fuel pressure gauge allows the Fuel Tank to empty of its content. Precise handling of the Fuel Level Sensor assembly requires avoiding contact with fuel pipes to prevent damaging their joints during Fuel Tank removal. Start by attaching the j 39765 Fuel Level Sensor lock nut wrench to eliminate the Fuel Level Sensor assembly retaining ring before you pull out the whole assembly including the seal and dispose of the old seal. The Fuel Level Sensor should receive cleaning treatment on its sealing areas. Setting the fuel strainer at a horizontal position during new seal installation for the Fuel Tank will enable the float arm to reach its maximum movement.
