To service and repair the Spark Plug wires, commence to disconnect the Spark Plug wire from each Spark Plug, twisting the boots 1/2 turn before removal, and to pull by only the boot or to pull by the use of a tool meant for removal for loaning the wire, otherwise pull out the wire from each Spark Plug. Next, remove the Spark Plug wire from the
Distributor by twisting each Spark Plug boot 1/2 turn and pulling again only on the boot or use the tool that is designed for the purpose. For installation, start by installing the Spark Plug wires into the Distributor, and then connecting the Spark Plug wire to each Spark Plug. Check the installation of the wires by attempting to push them laterally to check the seating, reinstall loose boot, and make sure that the wire routings are maintained during servitude and followed strictly when the wires are disconnected or replaced coinciding it with improper routing which leads to radio ignition noise, plug crossfiring, and shorting of the leads to and with the ground. Also, whenever installing Spark Plug wires or boots, put fresh dielectric grease inside the boot.
